Embroidered Quilt (Kit Quilt)
Classification: Materials and Techniques: Building Furnishing, Bedding, Quilt Style/Period/Movement: Physical Description: Roses and Daisy flowers with vines and leaves are embroidered in a large oval in the center of this quilt. Four corner floral arrangements with same flowers are located next to the oval. The flowers are pink with red outline and leaves and vines are green. Border has a scalloped design cross stitched in green along the outer edge. Quilting follows the floral pattern and also is quilted in a grid pattern. There is feather quilting inside the oval and along the inner border. The outer border has bars quilted next to the green scalloped embroidery. Exhibition History: Collection or Donor: Robert L. Schaeffer, Jr. The quilt was made by Nancy Ochs, his aunt.
