Work is categorized according to Chenall’s System for Classifying Man-Made Objects. To the extent possible, controlled vocabulary is used to describe objects, creators, and materials using The J. Paul Getty Trust’s Union List of Artists (ULAN) and The Art & Architecture Thesaurus (AAT). Links to the controlled vocabulary are provided in the sidebar.
